☀️ I'm Not Ready for Christmas Yet Either… But the Clay Says Otherwise
Trust me—I haven’t pulled out the ornaments or hit play on the holiday playlist (yet). But in the studio? The holiday season has already quietly begun.
And here’s why: handcrafted pottery takes time.
Each piece goes through multiple stages—forming, drying, bisque firing, glazing, firing again—and all of that can take weeks. Sometimes even longer if the clay or glaze has its own opinion (and it often does).
That’s why summer is when the holiday magic begins… even if I’m still sipping iced tea and pulling weeds in the garden.
❄️Snowmen in Summer? Yep.❄️
While I’m soaking up summer sunshine, there are snowmen forming on my worktable and mugs spinning on the wheel. Ideas for this year’s festive favorites are already in motion.
It’s not about rushing the season—it’s about giving each piece the time and care it deserves.
Why This Matters for You
If you’re someone who loves giving meaningful, thoughtful gifts (or just treating yourself to something special), this early start matters.
By the time the holidays roll around, you’ll have first dibs on a collection of handcrafted mugs, trinket dishes, snowmen, and festive pieces that were made slowly and intentionally—not rushed, mass-produced, or plucked off a shelf in panic.
You’ll get to skip the stress and still give something that feels personal, heartfelt, and impossible to duplicate.
