Featured Artist | Flint Hills Discovery Center

For several years, I’ve had the opportunity to be a featured artist during the Flint Hills Discovery Center’s annual Meet the Makers event.

I demonstrate wheel throwing and share how a lump of clay becomes a finished piece of pottery. My favorite part is getting to talk with the kids and adults who stop to watch. I love answering questions, sharing the process, and seeing people get excited about how pottery is made.

Being able to interact, teach a little, and share what I love about clay is what makes this event so much fun for me.
